The Demon of Scorched Fields

Freak weather events plague the golden wheat fields of Zapole, a small farming village in Poland. With the rising temperatures, the farmers have suffered dizziness, blinding and burns. But these aren't regular heatstrokes, and the deaths are mutiplying.

The hunters hear about those mysterious deaths. The weather anomalies are not showing up on any readings, and locals report sighting a strange spirit dancing through the fields at noon, sometimes accompanied by a small child, leaving burnt grasses and flowers in its wake.

A summer mystery set in the scorching heat of the midday sun, flowers swaying over burnt corpses and demons dancing with children. Don't forget your sunscreen.

Set in the plains of Poland but adaptable to any small grain farming community. The adventure can be used as a standalone or as a part of a larger campaign to do with global warming, end of the world scenarios, or sun-related monsters.
